Cancellation policy

Free Cancellation

Standard bookings: you can cancel or modify your booking until 2 days before your arrival date at no charge. 


A full cancellation fee of 100% of the reservation applies if you cancel your booking within the 2 days of your arrival date including no-shows.

Strict ‘No Party’ Behaviour & Noise policy

We are located in a residential neighbourhood. Please respect our neighbours and other guests and keep your noise to a minimum.

Unreasonable noise, deck activity and adverse pool behaviour which affects the quiet enjoyment of other guests will not be tolerated at any time day or night.  There is a 9.00p.m. setting for deck activities to cease – other than by arrangement.

We reserve the right to request people who are making too much noise at any time of the day or night to leave. No refunds will be applicable.


All rates quoted on this site are subject to availability. All rates are inclusive of GST and are quoted in New Zealand dollars. By using the rates quoted on this site you agree with and abide by these Terms and Conditions.

Rates as quoted are based on 2 persons per room per night on a room only basis, unless specified.

Rates may increase without notice due to any changes in or the imposition of government charges taxes or levies. Guests will be notified where possible of any increases.

Credit Card fees attract a 2.5% fee.  Debit cards, eft pos swipe and direct credit payments do not.

Third Party Website bookings and content

When bookings are made through a third-party website, as opposed to directly with us or our website and our terms and conditions may not be published or invisible or not known, they will still apply.

Whilst we do our best we have absolutely no control over image content settings shown by third party websites and therefore not responsible for any image content or descriptions errors by these third party websites.

No Long Term bookings

We are by nature and definition a short stay ‘holiday’ accommodation business.  We do not accept long term bookings, the definition of which is 2 weeks or longer.  

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in time is 2.00 pm and check out is strictly 10.00a.m unless otherwise arranged.  We will try wherever possible to accommodate early arrival and/or late departure.

Lost Property

Due to the large amount of personal property left behind a workable administration policy is required.

All items we deem to be of little value we take no responsibility for and is thrown away as rubbish, for example make up, charging cords, t shirts, pyjamas etc.  Other clothing items left in wardrobes or shoes, we will always make an effort to contact the owner and at their expense plus our administration expense, return it.  We do not accept liability for events which occur outside of our premises such as lost mail.

Luggage storage

Our office can arrange storage of luggage for guests. All luggage must be clearly labelled in order to ensure efficient and prompt service.

Fair Use Policy

Internet/Car charging /Laundry/Sky TV/ Wi-Fi STAY KERIKERI provides guests with the above free add on services. The operation of any of the above during this reservation is not guaranteed and may be disrupted or not available. STAY KERIKERI offers this service on a fair use policy.

Our Doggy Policy – (No other Pets allowed) 

A $30 per night per dog tariff applies.

There is a certain amount of flexibility to our dog policy.

We try to be ‘European’ in our approach to doggies and of course welcome the smaller non shedding breeds that typify what we class as ‘handbag dogs’.

Our guidelines at the end of the day are just plain common sense.

leashed at all times out of the apartment, washed, own bed, not left alone, DO NOT sleep on the beds.

Specifically excluded are larger well known shedding dogs such as Labradors and Alsatians, bull dogs and farm dogs which do not make a great fit for us.We indeed have a good crop of regular pooches which fit well with us.

Additional charges

Management also reserves the right to charge guests for the following, but not restricted to : all damages, breakages, lost keys, missing items, late departure, extra cleaning and unpaid expenses. Any additional charges will automatically be charged to the credit card provided as security for the booking following at least one attempt to contact the credit card holder.

Lost key policy

Keys that are not returned will be charged to the credit card supplied. A $25 charge will apply if keys are lost.

Cigarette Smoking/Vaping 

In line with New Zealand’s law referring to non smoking regulations, all rooms and shared spaces are non-smoking including poolside and outdoor dining areas.

Any traces of residual smoke inside will incur an additional cleaning charge of $200.

Cooking Policy (fish and fish oils)

The cooking of fish/oils is prohibited because the pollutants produced, damage our soft furnishings which the have to be replaced/rewashed.  Any additional costs of cleaning soft furnishings may be added as deemed necessary by management.

Age Policy

STAY KERIKERI does not accept reservations from people under 21 years of age .

Early Departure Policy

No refunds will be given on early departure and any outstanding balance will be deducted from the credit card provided.

Trading Terms

STAY KERIKERI reserves the right to release any or all room space if payment terms are not met.

Force Majeure

STAY KERIKERI will not be in breach of this agreement, or any way liable to any party, if it is prevented from complying with this agreement by reason of act of God, act of public enemy, act of terrorism, war, earthquake, riot, explosion, compliance with any law or government restraint order, rule regulations, strike, lockout or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the business interests of Stay Kerikeri .

Privacy Policy

STAY KERIKERI is subject to the National  Principles of  the  Privacy Act 2020.

We will generally collect personal information about you directly from you when you deal with us over the telephone or by letter or e-mail. Normally, the type of personal information collected by us will include your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

We do not share this information and all CC information is destroyed once used.

Governing law

The Law of New Zealand governs your use and occupation of the property during this reservation. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New Zealand.


The information, text, graphics, images, sounds, links and all other information and software published or otherwise contained on this site (“the contents”) are the exclusive property of STAY KERIKERI and, except as authorised on this site, may not be copied, distributed, displayed, reproduced, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without the prior written permission of Atlantic Byron Bay.
